First of all... Merry Christmas to my beloved Kongkong. Have fun wherever you are kayy? :)
And of course, Merry Christmas to everyone! :)
Didn't know this day would come so fast. Time do passed really fast eh? Just thinking about it... Kongkong was perfectly fine during his 87th birthday this year. He just deteriorated so quickly within these two months. And now he's gone. I still remember mommy and uncle brought grandparents back on my birthday. Why go so fast, Kong? It has just been 5months since your birthday. But oh well, it's okay laa. As long as you went so peacefully and you're happy :) At least you're not suffering anymore. That matters. Love you! Merry X'mas Kongkong! be happy! I know you are :) Feel like kissing you on the cheek right now. Missing you...
Oh, I remember seeing lights around the coffin you were in on the last night you were at the parlour. It was KaiYe who showed it to me and Lionnel. Although it was through a camera before snapping, but I'd much prefer to believe that you were spiritually there and there were devas in there :)
After Kongkong's cremation, we brought Popo out for dinner at Manhattan. Her favourite. I really hope she enjoyed.

me and the new renovated Manhattan.

me&Popo. She didn't know I was taking a picture. Hahah :)
Went to pick up Kongkong's ashes yesterday morning. Can't believe what I saw. All I saw were bones. Just bones and loose ashes in a box. I remember just before Kongkong was cremated, they put in his favourite shoes, favourite shirt&shorts, and a sarong into his coffin. I cried so so hard. My eldest cousin as well cause he was also very close to grandpa. After prayers, each one of us had to use a pair of chopsticks and put Kongkong's bones into the urn. I was holding my grandfather's bones can you believe it? My first time and it shall be in my heart forever :)

me and cousins. otw to Melaka :)
Went back to Melaka after that to scatter Kongkong's ashes into the sea. Reverend Vijita was the one who scattered Kongkong's ashes while me and eldest cousin brother threw flowers. I always remember the story Kongkong used to tell me about... Kong, you remember? :) Next stop was SKE temple. Put Kongkong's urn at the third floor. It was windy/airy? Kong, your favourite spot kan? The balcony. You used to sit at your balcony every evening. So ok laa, all of us know you'll be happy there :)

My tough grandma :)
After vegetarian lunch, all of us went back to Kongkong & Popo's house. Ohmai... Old old memories flashing back. Was the first to touch Kongkong's lazy chair he used to sit and then was also the first to sit on the orange chair in front of the tv. (Kongkong was the last to sit on that orange chair) That incident was rather funny though. I'll leave it to my brother to tell if he wants to blog about it. Hahah. Oh well. Then later us cousins just sat on grandparents bed. Talking about Kongkong and just chit chatting among ourselves. It felt really nice. Somehow felt like Kongkong was just standing at the door watching us, smiling :)

i always picture you there
me in Kongkong's orange chair :)
me & my eldest cousin :)
me on Kongkong's bed :)
i inherited that :)
Popo brought out old picture albums to let us see. It felt really nice. Really. All family members sitting around each other looking at the pictures and just laughing 'cause of the olden days hair and pants. Hahah. It was funny. Saw Kongkong's old pictures too. When he was much younger, during his NZ scholarship days.

Kong, you looked really really handsome. No wonder Popo fell for you. keke. Kongkong has the prettiest handwriting too. Guess I got that genes from you, Kongkong. It's true, not boasting. Packed up after that then left the house. We'll be back again. I miss your presence Kongkong...

A song dedicated to you, Kongkong...
I miss you
Sha la la la la
Sha la la la la
You used to call me your angel
Said I was sent straight down from heaven
You'd hold me close in your arms
I love the way you felt so strong
I never wanted you to leave
I wanted you to stay here holding me
{Chorus}
I miss you
I miss your smile
And I still shed a tear
every once in awhile
And even though its different now
your still here somehow
My heart won't let you go
And I need you to know
I miss you
Sha la la la la
I miss you
You used to call me your dreamer
and now I'm livin out my dream
Oh how I wish you could see
Everything thats happening for me
I'm thinking back on the past
It's true that time is flying by too fast
{Chorus}
I miss you
I miss your smile
And I still shed a tear
every once in awhile
And even though its different now
your still here somehow
My heart won't let you go
And I need you to know
I miss you
Sha la la la la
I miss you
I know your in a better place (yea)
But I wish that I can see your face (oh)
I know your where you need to be
Even though its not here with me
{Chorus}x2
I miss you
I miss your smile
And I still shed a tear
every once in awhile
And even though its different now
your still here somehow
My heart won't let you go
And I need you to know
I miss you
Sha la la la la
I miss you
I miss you
